Arts Term Abroad in Global Citizenship

The application deadline for this program is November 14, 2013 at 4:00 p.m.

This program offers you an opportunity to increase your understanding of global poverty, its sources, and the challenge of implementing change through 6-weeks of intensive coursework and activities in Guatemala.

By engaging with faculty, fellow students, and community partners interested in global citizenship, you will consider how social and philosophical theory can help us understand the challenges posed by poverty and violence, and how an encounter with a radically different social environment can inform our study of abstract theory.

You will not only benefit from theoretical discussions, but also assess your own commitment and values, increase your cultural and historical knowledge of Guatemala, and gain practical experience in the difficulties faced by community organizations trying to create positive change.

Please save a copy of your responses in a separate document in case your browser freezes while you complete your application.
