Exploring Forestry and Conservation in China

This program is a four-week intensive program offered through Nanjing Forestry University (NFU) and led and coordinated by the UBC Faculty of Forestry. It is a unique opportunity for students interested in forestry and conservation in China. This program will allow you to better understand local and global forestry issues in China through various activities, including in-class lectures/seminars, service learning, field trips in nature reserves, and visits to local industries, heritage and cultural sites. Program content includes: integration of foresty, conservation and wood marketing in China, current developments of the Chinese forestry and wood industry, biodiversity protection in global hotspots, natural resources management, and Chinese culture and history.
